Brad Houston scored with 1:23 left to give the Chatham Maroons an 8-7 win over the Hamilton Power Blades in their Great Lakes Inline Junior 'A' League season opener Monday. Houston finished with three goals and three assists in the comeback win at Erickson Arena.
The Maroons trailed 7-6 after three quarters, but Kyle Nishizaki's second goal of the game tied the score with 8:02 left. Kelly Stokley added one goal and two assists, Joel Scott and Colin Roeszler also scored and Josh Johnston picked up two assists. Christian Reinelt was the winning goalie. Spencer Thoms and Eric Speedie each had two goals for Hamilton, which led 5-4 at halftime. Cameron Sault, Dan Crandits and Brian Clark also scored.
The Maroons visit Brampton tonight. Their next home game is Monday, May 12, against Kitchener-Waterloo
